About
Three decades of marine engineering judgement.
A small, senior team engaged directly by developers, contractors and investors on submarine cable programmes worldwide.
Solution Technology was formed in 1992 to provide technical and management services into the offshore oil and gas market, specialising in cable and umbilical design and application engineering.
Soltech moved into the submarine telecoms market - providing project and programme management for marine operations on international cable systems. The Solution Technology Group Ltd. was then incorporated in 2001.
Since 2008 we have applied the same discipline to offshore wind, supporting the deployment of submarine cables and foundations on projects across Europe.
Today Soltech works as an independent partner - engaged for our judgement, not the size of our staff list - providing engineers and programme managers who have spent careers on the deck and in the design office to ensure full delivery of project objectives

Project Development
Supported the development of the Mona and Morgan projects, covering export cable routes, landfalls, consenting and procurement.
Export Cable Repair
Managed the successful repair and reburial of a 132kV export cable in challenging shallow-water conditions.
Sandbank Offshore Windfarm
Closed the submarine cable supply and installation contract before supporting the route survey, UXO investigation and construction of 72 foundations in the German North Sea.
Cable Protection Systems
Supported the investigation, replacement and deployment of cable protection systems following multiple in-service failures.
Merkur Offshore Windfarm
Managed the manufacture and installation of array cables, including factory testing, installation challenges and as-built documentation.
Racebank Offshore Windfarm
Supported the development of Race Bank, focusing on the challenging shore landing, cable procurement, export system optimisation and new cable installation solutions.
